Understanding Pitra and Kuldevta

Every family has a Kuldevta (Ancestral Deity), a divine protector who blesses and safeguards them. However, many people do not know about their Kuldevta or fail to worship them. When this happens, the Pitra (ancestor spirits) may take advantage of the situation by acting as the Kuldevta. The Pitra encourages the family to worship and offer prayers to them, promising blessings like the birth of a son. However, only the Kuldevta has the actual power to grant such blessings.

The Power of Kuldevta

If a family regularly worships their Kuldevta, their spiritual vision (Drishti) is awakened. They can easily connect with divine energy and receive their blessings. Bhaiya Ji shared an experience where he visited the Salasar Balaji temple and invoked Lord Hanuman Ji. An envoy (Doot) of Hanuman Ji came to receive him. On another visit, he requested his Kuldevta, Lord Ramapir, to accompany him. When he reached the temple, he saw an entire divine army, including Mohan Das Ji Maharaj and Lord Hanuman Ji, welcoming his Kuldevta. This experience reinforced Bhaiya Ji’s belief that without the Kuldevta, he was nothing.

Why Some Prayers Are Answered While Others Are Not

Consider two families, Family X and Family Y, who visit the same temple to pray for their wishes. Family X’s wish is granted, but Family Y’s is not. Does this mean that the temple lacks power? No, the temple deity sees whether the Kuldevta or Guru of the family is standing with them. If the Kuldevta or Guru supports the person, their wishes will be fulfilled.

If a person ignores their Kuldevta, no other deity will bless them. For example, if someone’s Kuldevta is Lord Hanuman Ji, but they choose to worship Lord Krishna instead, they will not receive Krishna’s blessings. Even if they and their children continue worshipping Krishna for generations, their lives will remain full of struggles. Despite visiting sacred places (Tirath Dham), their problems will persist. This is because the energy of the temple recognizes that they lack the blessings of their Kuldevta.

Why Do Some People Suffer Despite Good Astrology?

An astrologer might say a person’s planetary positions are perfect, yet they still face many struggles. This happens because astrology assumes that all deities—Guru, Kuldevta, and Ishta Dev—are positioned correctly. However, if negative energy or ancestral spirits (Pitra) influence a person, the effects of planets will not be felt until the negativity is removed. Kundalini Shakti, if awakened, can also nullify the effects of planetary influences.

What Happens When a Pitra Takes Control?

When a person dies, they might take on the role of the Pitra and mislead their family, making them worship incorrectly. The Pitra does not have the authority to grant important blessings such as birth, wealth, marriage, or protection—these powers belong only to the Kuldevta.

If a person with the help of drishti will looks at such a family, they will see that the Pitra is absorbing their devotion while giving back only small favors. Over time, the Pitra enjoys the energy from the family’s prayers and begins to believe they are a deity.

How Can One Escape the Control of Pitra?

Pitras ensure that no divine vibrations enter the family, keeping them trapped. When a family seeks help from saints and spiritual places, their prayers must pass through the Pitra, making it difficult to remove their influence. Even if they start worshipping their Kuldevta, the Pitra may block their offerings from reaching the deity.

Who Can Truly Help?

No saint, spiritual place, or temple has the authority to remove a Pitra’s influence because the Pitra controls the family’s prayers & has the authority to stay in the house. The only way to reach the Kuldevta and remove the Pitra is through the blessings of Gurudev, Sri Hanuman Ji Maharaj. Bhaiya Ji always advises offering jaap (chanting), bhog (offerings), and hawan (fire rituals) to Gurudev first. Gurudev then ensures the prayers reach the Kuldevta, who removes the Pitra from the family’s life.

Final Lesson

By surrendering everything to Gurudev, a person remains protected because they have nothing left for anyone to take. Whenever they need help, they can pray to Gurudev, who will provide them with divine energy and guidance.

Conclusion

The Kuldevta is the true protector of every family. If a family ignores their Kuldevta, the Pitra may take advantage of them, trapping them in endless struggles. Only through Gurudev can a person reconnect with their Kuldevta and remove the negative influence of the Pitra. When this connection is restored, true blessings, protection, and prosperity flow into the family’s life.
